University Library reopens on Monday 11 May

With effect from Monday, May 11, 2020, the University Library (including branches at FR and FHS) will start providing its services again, under the following conditions:

1. It is required to wear the face mask to enter the library entrance hall; in case of entering behind the library turnstiles, it is necessary to wear also gloves.
   Exception at FR and FZS faculties: just the face mask and hand disinfection are requested.
2. Hand disinfection and disposable gloves are available at the library entrance.
3. It is ordered to keep 2-metre distancing between people.
4. The returned books will be stored in a two-day quarantine.
5. All the surfaces and door handles will be disinfected regularly.
6. The user service “orders via e-mail” remains the same. Contact us at: knihovna@upce.cz (FHS: dominika.koubkova@upce.cz, FR: dana.vecerova@upce.cz).
7. Neither the computer rooms nor catalogues and other computers in the library premises will be available. Search the desired books on your cell phone or refer to the librarian at the circulation desk.
   Exception: the computer with the database of Czech standards.
8. In case of printing a document, refer to the enquiry desk on the 1^st floor (it is necessary to keep the file stored in your own USB flash disc).
9. In the group study rooms, the restrictions for the current number of people present will be applied: on the ground floor max. four persons, on the 1st floor max. two persons in one study room.
10. There may be only one person present in the room with the scanners and photocopier.

Opening hours in the main library building: Mon – Fri 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Opening hours of the FR library branch: Mon, Tue, Thu 8 a.m. – 12, Wed 1 p.m. – 6 p.m., Fri 8 a.m. – 12.

Opening hours of the FHS library branch: Mon - Thu 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Fri 12 – 4 p.m.

The library continues in providing consultation services via e-mail or phone – see https://knihovna.upce.cz/en/contacts-10; after an agreement with the library employee also online (e.g. via MS Teams or Skype).

At the same time, all the library users, i.e. employees and students, can take advantage of the electronic information resources – see https://knihovna.upce.cz/en/uk/eresources (you cand find here the instructions for remote access as well).
