scite_: Going beyond citation counts

The tracking of responses to published scientific papers is currently purely quantitative - authors are primarily interested in how many times a publication has been cited by other authors. However, not all citations are the same. Each citation is given in some citation context that shows why the paper was cited.
During the webinar you will have the opportunity to learn about the new tool scite_, which offers a quantitative and qualitative view of how scientific publications cite each other.
The scite_ analyses the full text of scholarly articles and uses its deep learning model to provide information for a given publication not only on how many times it has been cited, but in what context it has been cited by other authors and whether the citation offers confirming or negating evidence for the claims cited, or whether it is just a mention.
