Dear academic staff, researchers and PhD students,
The University of Pardubice has become a member of organization ORCID. This step is a reaction for regulation of the Government of the Czech Republic, which approved the National Research, Development and Innovation Policy of the Czech Republic 2016–2020. The request for an implementation of international persistent person identifier has been defined in this Policy.
The unified process of ORCID implementation at the University of Pardubice has been approved and supported by the management of the University of Pardubice and it was launched on September 18th, 2018. Individual ORCID profiles will be connected with Central registry of the University of Pardubice. These users, who connect their ORCID profile with Central registry, will see their ORCID ID with ORCID icon in their profile at intranet, and ORCID ID will be also transferred to OBD.
To create an ORCID ID and authorise the connection of your ORCID profile with Central registry, please visit this website: https://hap.upce.cz/orcid/.
The academic staff, researchers and PhD students, who don´t have an ORCID profile yet, will be offered a pre-filled form, which they will confirm. After confirmation they will receive an e-mail to authorise the link to Central registry.
The academic staff, researchers and PhD student, who already have an ORCID profile, will be asked only to authorise the connection of their ORCID ID and Central registry, eventually to review or complete their employee´s e-mail address (with domain @upce.cz).
Due to the validity of the above-mentioned Policy, we recommend you to set up a new ORCID profile / make and authorization of ORCID profile by the end of the year 2018.
