Dear users,
We want to inform you about the possibility of using the trial access to Web of Science Research Assistant. WoS RA is a platform that uses generative AI to facilitate the search and analysis of scientific information.
Trial access is open to you from 17 March to 30 April 2025.
You can find the Research Assistant at the top of the homepage of https://www.webofscience.com/. You do not need to log in in any way to use RA; you can only use classic WoS access within the university network. For remote access, e.g. from home, use either a Shibboleth login or a VPN connection and a terminal server.
Key features of Research Assistant:
- Natural search in different languages
- Relevance of results and clear summary of information
- Interactive visualization of trends and analytical outputs
- Related search suggestions and synonym transparency
- Save chat history for continuous work
- Support for specific tasks such as literature searches or selection of appropriate journals
After the commercial launch, the developers improved Research Assistant based on user feedback. New features include:
- Ability to edit a query to refine results
- Improved answer structure
- Better data visualization and interactive elements
- Enhanced support for advanced queries and analytical tools
- Transition to the GPT-4o mini model for increased accuracy and speed
